About the Author
The daughter of a U.S. Air Force pilot and stay-at-home mother, K. Kidd grew up living in Okinawa and all across the United States. She was seventeen when she started working for the Federal Government in Washington DC. The mystery and intrigue of the intelligence world fascinated her. At age twenty-one she met Sergei Kourdakov, a former KGB officer who defected from the Soviet Union. Her memoir, "A Rose for Sergei," is the story of their time together. After leaving Government service, K. Kidd worked as an administrative assistant for Fairfax County Public Schools in Northern Virginia. She currently resides in Virginia with her husband and family. To this day she still looks behind the shower curtain.
