About the Author
I was born in England in 1964 and grew up through the 60s, the 70s, the 80s and the 90s. Adopted at birth I became a square peg in a round hole, trying to fit in to a life that wasn't mine. To say I was a troubled adolescent would be an understatement and I finally ran off to join the circus of life. Fantastical times and characters followed, but there were no happy endings to be found in the world of drugs, trouble and music that I joined. Eventually, after seeing too many burnouts, I chose a different life and straightened out. The straight and narrow included marriage and children and was a strange place for me, soon complicated by discovering that my real father was a legendary 60's rock star, who was still very much alive and kicking. Things once again got very chaotic for a few years, with divorce, bad times and choices throwing me off kilter and in all sorts of directions. Finally I found my own way to live a peaceful and happy life in spite of it all and my book, Damaged Goods, is the story of my life and the people, music and choices that made it possible to write.
