About the Author
Jennifer Hubbard is the president and executive director of The Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary (www.cvhfoundation.org), which she founded in memory of her daughter, who died in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Connecticut on December 14, 2012. Jennifer is a national Catholic speaker and retreat leader and is frequently featured at Legatus gatherings. She is also an award-winning writer for Magnificat and her first book, Finding Sanctuary: How the Wild Work of Peace Restored the Heart of a Sandy Hook Mother (2021), was recognized by the Catholic Media Association as the top memoir of the year. 156 She has been a guest on a variety of national television shows, including "Today," "CBS News," "ABC News," and "The Kelly Clarkson Show." She has also been featured by the Catholic News Agency and is a regular guest on Spirit Morning Radio in Omaha, Nebraska. Jennifer earned her bachelor's degree from Randolph-Macon Women's College in Lynchburg, Virginia. She is a member of the Ives Bank Corporator Board in Danbury, Connecticut. She lives with her husband in Bethel, Connecticut.
