Descripción

Have you ever held a pacemaker ECG in your hand and found it impossible to understand? Have you ever felt that colleagues who do understand them are reading a crystal ball that is out of your reach? And what's worse, you don't know if the device is working properly for your patient or not. It's normal. In our careers, we receive very little information on how these devices work and what ECGs look like when they are working well, and even less when they are working poorly. And if you look for information, you find books and articles written by cardiologists for cardiologists, with very technical language, hardly understandable. In this book, we have tried to create a guide written for non-specialist doctors, where a high level of cardiological and electrocardiographic knowledge is not required, to deal with the most frequent cases of normally functioning pacemakers and with common problems. All cases are illustrated with real electrocardiograms, taken from consultations and the emergency room, so that you can learn to decipher the cases you may encounter. We are sure that your ability to read this type of electrocardiogram will improve.
