A child's dream can change the whole world.

This is an inspiring story, based on the author's real life, about the power of imagination and the strength of determination.

When a terrible drought struck the small village where William Kamkwamba lived, his family lost all their crops and were left with nothing to eat and nothing to sell.

William then began to research science books in the library in search of a solution, and in this way he found the idea that would change his family's life forever: he would build a windmill.

Made from recycled materials, metal and bicycle fragments, William's windmill brought electricity to his home and helped his family get the water they needed for their crops. Thus, little Willy's commitment and enthusiasm changed the destiny of his family and the entire country.
