This book is written to enrich the knowledge of Catholics about the wonderful gift of God's mercy with souls, who, upon dying and appearing before the Divine Tribunal of our Lord Jesus Christ, without a perfect and holy preparation, are rescued from the pains of eternal condemnation and led to live a state of purification or purgation, where they have the opportunity to enter the fullness of the eternal glory of Paradise, after passing through the trial by fire.
The first part of the book presents a compilation of data from councils in which the existence of Purgatory has been established as a dogmatic reality for the Catholic believer. The second part gathers testimonies from mystics of the Church who have left a valuable legacy of information about their experiences with the souls in Purgatory and their innumerable sufferings, which serve as deep reflections on the responsibilities we all have in preparing for the encounter with the journey that awaits us after death. The third part is a testimony of the author's mystical experience where he allows us to live the intimacy of his vision of the sufferings of the souls in Purgatory.
The central message of this book is to present the infinite mercy of God that continues even after our death.
